We didn't eat all day. It seemed food was always just around the corner. Being talked about. A rumor of food. When VPRO finally fed us, we pounced on the various dishes like scurvey'd sailors fighting over lime wedges. Some hours later, the siren song call of the gravy log was strong but I resisted.
